SOURABH SHUBHAM Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Hi, I've come across many workshop presentation papers and research papers in which the processing of CRISM images include 'Spectral Smile Removal' and the entire sequence of Empirical Processing. 1. When we download the TRR3 data, is it already taken care of? Or do we have to follow a certain algorithm to manually apply it? Can you please suggest me how to do it? It is not mentioned in any workshop papers. 2. If we have to manually perform this task, do we have to do it via IDL/MATLAB programming or is it possible to do so in a GUI software (viz CAT, ENVI)? Susie Slavney Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Dear Sourabh, Only the CRISM TER and MTRDR derived products have been corrected for spectral smile. See these data product descriptions: http://ode.rsl.wustl.edu/mars/pagehelp/quickstartguide/index.html?crism_ter.htm The CRISM Analysis Tool (CAT) does not have code to do this correction. When we analyze CRISM data using CAT, other than for the two products quoted above, we pay attention to the shift in wavelengths as a function of column number. Note that in CAT, the center wavelengths used in spectral plots are those for the middle column only.
