  1. This bundle contains a detailed chronology of contact science (CS) activities and targets conducted by both MER rovers. The term contact science encompasses measurements executed by any of the instruments on the rovers’ Instrument Deployment Device (IDD), namely the Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer, Mössbauer, Microscopic Imager, and Rock Abrasion Tool. The data were compiled and archived by the PDS Geosciences Node.
  2. Data from Release 58 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission are now online at the PDS Geosciences Node. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, Microscopic Imager, Navcam, Pancam, and RAT data from sols 5041 through 5130 for the Opportunity rover.
  3. Data from Release 57 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission are now online at the PDS Geosciences Node. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, Microscopic Imager, Navcam, Pancam, RAT, and Rover Motion Counter data from sols 4951 through 5040 for the Opportunity rover.
  4. Data from Release 56 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission is now online at the PDS Geosciences Node. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, MI, Navcam, and Pancam data from sols 4861 through 4950 for the Opportunity rover.
  5. Data from Release 55 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission is now online at the PDS Geosciences Node. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, MI, Navcam, Pancam, and Rover Motion Counter data from sols 4771 through 4860 for the Opportunity rover.
  6. Data from Release 54 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission is now online at the PDS Geosciences Node. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, MI, Navcam, Pancam, RAT, and Rover Motion Counter data from sols 4681 through 4770 for the Opportunity rover.
  7. Data from Release 53 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission is now online at the PDS Geosciences Node. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, MI, Navcam, Pancam, and Rover Motion Counter data from sols 4591 through 4680 for the Opportunity rover.
  8. Data from Release 52 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission is now online at the PDS Geosciences Node. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, MI, Navcam, Pancam, Rover Motion Counter, and RAT data from sols 4501 through 4590 for the Opportunity rover.
  9. Data from Release 51 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission is now online at the PDS Geosciences Node. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, MI, Navcam, Pancam, Rover Motion Counter, and RAT data from sols 4411 through 4500 for the Opportunity rover.
  10. Data from Release 49 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission is now online at the PDS Geosciences Node. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, MI, Navcam, Pancam, Rover Motion Counter, and RAT data from sols 4231 through 4320 for the Opportunity rover.
  11. This is probably just exposing my ignorance, but how does one scale images from Opportunity? I get the mrad/pixel values, etc., but don't I still need distance to target to scale the image (or part of an image) to a metric like centimeters? Are the random Pancam images of a ball on a stick used somehow for this purpose? By exploring the MERB Notebook I can look at all of that wonderful data from each Sol, but I also understand there's supposed to be a SIS associated with each data package? Is this the same as viewing the PDS label? I was hoping that documentation would help resolve some of this issue. Again, I apologize for my ignorance. I've been searching for answers to these questions for a few days now and felt like it was about time to ask a question.
  12. Data from Release 42 of the Mars Exploration Rover mission is now online at the PDS Geosciences Node and available through the MER Analyst's Notebook. This release includes APXS, Atmospheric Opacity, MI, Navcam, Pancam, Rover Motion Counter, and RAT data from sols 3601 through 3690 for the Opportunity rover.
