    ODE - Messenger Release 15 Loaded into ODE

    May 31st, 2016 - MESSENGER Release 15 has been loaded into ODE. This release includes the redelivery of calibrated products created from data acquired through the end of Mercury orbital operations on 30 April 2015, the redelivery of advanced products created from data acquired through 17 March 2014, and the delivery of advanced products created from data acquired through 30 April 2015. New products for this release include additional Mercury maps and digital elevation models (DEMs). The products in this delivery reflect improved calibrations and corrections as well as the incorporation of MESSENGER-derived refined values for Mercury's radius and rotational elements and the global DEM.

    New advanced products for this release include:
    - Global low-incidence-angle monochrome map (MDIS MAPLOI)
    - Low-phase-angle, five-color map of the north-polar region (MDIS MAPMP5)
    - Global and high-resolution regional DEMs (MDIS DEM)

    Advanced products included in earlier releases and also included in this release (regenerated and with other improvements) include:
    - High- and moderate-incidence-angle global monochrome maps (MDIS MAPHIE and MAPHIW)
    - Three- and eight-color global maps (MDIS)
    - Monochrome and color regional targeted mosaics (MDIS RTMNAC and RTMWAC)
    - Backplanes with lat/long and with incidence, emission, and phase angles (MDIS)
    - Summed gamma-ray spectra (GRNS)
    - Background-subtracted, net neutron count rates (GRNS)
    - Element concentration maps (XRS)
    - Altimeter profiles, radiometry, and northern-hemisphere DEM (MLA)
    - Limb tangent height and surface reflectance spectra, as well as a 750-nm base map (MASCS)
    - Occultation data, gravity, and spherical harmonic shape models (RS/MLA)

    ODE - GRAIL Release 7 loaded into ODE

    May 6th, 2016 - GRAIL Release 7 data added to ODE:

    This release includes a new lunar spherical harmonic gravitational field model, GRGM1200A. This release also includes various new gravity map products in standard PDS image format and in GeoTIFF format.

    Loaded NS and HEND raw and derived data into ODE through 2015 September 30th.
    Updated THEMIS standard data products (IREDR, IRRDR, IRBTR, VISEDR, VISRDR and VISABR data) from February 19th, 2002 to September 30th, 2015.
    Updated THEMIS geometry data products (IRGEO2, IRPBT2, VGEO2, and VISALB data) from September 28th, 2013 to September 30th, 2015.

    ODE - LRO Release 25 Loaded into ODE

    March 31st, 2016 - Loaded LRO LOLA RADR (albedo) products into ODE.

     

    LOLA RADR (albedo) products, which were delivered for the first time in Release 24, have been replaced with a new set of RADRs. Only the file names have been changed; the files were incorrectly named in the previous delivery. The contents of the files have not been changed.

    With this revision the LOLA RADR data set has completed peer review. More information about this data set is in the file radr_ds.cat, http://pds-geosciences.wustl.edu/lro/lro-l-lola-3-rdr-v1/lrolol_1xxx/catalog/radr_ds.cat.
     

    ODE - The First Release of MEX HRSC New Version 3 Map Projected Data Loaded into ODE

    March 18th, 2016 - MEX HRSC New Version 3 map projected data (REFDR3) loaded into ODE

    The first release of HRSC new Version 3 of map projected RDR data (REFDR3) have been loaded into ODE, with coverage through July 9, 2004 (Orbit 10-598). Additional version 3 data will be released incrementally until it completely replaces the version 2 data set. Six months after that the version 2 data will be taken offline.

    ODE - Release of Two New MRO CRISM TER and MTRDR Data Sets Loaded into ODE

    March 8, 2016 - New MRO CRISM data sets, TER and MTRDR product suites loaded into ODE

    The first release of MRO CRISM MTRDR (Map-projected Targeted Reduced Data Record) and TER (Targeted Empirical Record) data products are loaded into ODE, coverage from Nov. 10, 2006 to Nov. 1, 2007. Future deliveries are planned.

    TER products are image cubes derived from CRISM hyperspectral targeted observations, post-processed to standardize the illumination and observation geometry and remove atmospheric gas absorptions and instrument artifacts. MTRDR products are the same data map-projected using terrain models of the Martian surface. In addition, the volumes MROCR_2101 and MROCR_2102 are updated with new TRDR browse data products.

    Hi Jacob,

     

    Glad to know you made progress on this. PDS has lots of different products. If you are not sure about certain data, always refer to the attached or detached labels (e.g., *.lbl), which will includes the description of the data product. And the product SIS file is also a good resource for the users. Feel free to let us know if you need further help. Thanks,
