I have downloaded an LRO NAC mosaic of Vikram landing site (November image, 5m resolution) image from the following link http://wms.lroc.asu.edu/lroc/view_rdr_product/NAC_ROI_VIKRAM__LOC_P708S0237_5M I am trying to calculate and store the latitude and longitude coordinates for all the pixels in the mosaic into an array. As pointed in the 2nd point in the response below by Miss Wang, there appears to be a discrepancy in the LINE PROJECTION OFFSET value mentioned in the PDS label for the dataset. https://geoweb.rsl.wustl.edu/community/index.php?/topic/2804-details-needed-for-lroc-nac-mosaic-img-file/&do=findComment&comment=4621" "The LINE…

We have released a new version of our MakeLabels tool. The new 6.2 version includes additional features to help with the creation of PDS labels. The program and documentation can be found on the PDS Geosciences Node's MakeLabels page. Version 6.2 updates include: The output label destination directory is created, if it does not already exist and the user has appropriate permissions. Any template label tags that are not replaced (due to syntax errors or missing columns in the spreadsheet) are listed in the post-processing summary report. The MakeLabel's GUI interface now has a sizeable report window. The report summary has been moved to …

Many publishers of scientific research, including AGU, are now requiring authors to make their data available in a public repository as a condition of publication. (See AGU's policy here.) The Geosciences Node has been contacted by a few such authors asking whether the PDS will receive their data so that their articles can be published. In some cases the data set in question is a suitable candidate for a PDS archive, but usually it is not. If you are the author of an article for a journal that requires you to archive your data in a public repository, you may not wish to undertake the steps involved in submitting the data to the PDS, steps that include labeling, docu…

Dear PDS Geoscience Group, Greetings, I would like to download the Martian global datasets of TES products such as albedo, thermal inertia and minerals abundance in GeoTiff file format. I tried using https://www.mars.asu.edu/data/ . I am getting mainly two options i.e. PNG and VICAR. Could you please help me in getting the datasets in GeoTiff format or can help in converting the vicar file format into GeoTiff? Thank you,

The PDS Geosciences Node released the MakeLabels tool this July. The program can be used to generate PDS4 labels using a label template and one or two Excel spreadsheets. It replaces placeholders in the template with values from the spreadsheets. In fact it can be used to output any type of ASCII file. More information about the program and it's downloadable file can be found on the PDS Geosciences Node website. http://pds-geosciences.wustl.edu/tools/makelabels.html

I am the PI on a proposal to NASA PSTAR for a project that will collect digital data (predominantly still images and video) from Earth-based geological studies. I estimate about 3 Tb of data will be collected over 3 years. Our data will address operations of the Mars 2020 mission. I am wondering if the PDS Geosciences Node might be a suitable archive for our data.
