[Venus Radar Multi-Look Maps Released]

A new dataset of Venus radar multi-look maps is released at the PDS Geosciences Node.

Earth-based, polarimetric radar image data for Venus were collected from 1988-2020, using the Arecibo Observatory 12.6-cm (2380 MHz) transmitter in Puerto Rico and receivers at either the Arecibo Observatory or the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia. This data set contains maps of radar backscatter from Venus assembled from individual looks collected in these observing runs.

The data were provided by Bruce Campbell of the Smithsonian Institution's Center for Earth and Planetary Studies and archived by the PDS Geosciences Node.

[LRO Release 46]

Release 46 of Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter data is now online at the Geosciences Node. This release includes new data acquired between December 15, 2020, and March 14, 2021, for most data sets. Data can be reached from the Geosciences Node LRO page. The Lunar Orbital Data Explorer allows searching and downloading of LRO data.

[MRO CRISM MTRDR and TER Release 17]

This is the 17th release of CRISM MTRDR and TER data products. In addition, the volume MROCR_2103 is updated with new TRDR browse and extras data products.

[MRO Release 57]

Release 57 from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter mission includes new CRISM data. The release of SHARAD data is delayed. The data are online at https://pds-geosciences.wustl.edu/missions/mro.

[Earth-Based Venus Radar Dataset Updated]

A new batch of Earth-based Venus radar data has been released on the PDS Geosciences Node web site at http://pds-geoscienc...radar/index.htm. This release contains data collected on March 31, 2001, and from May 24 - May 30, 2020.

[MSL ChemCam Passive Surface Spectra Bundle Released]

The MSL ChemCam Passive Surface Spectra Bundle is released at the PDS Geosciences Node.

This bundle contains MSL ChemCam passive surface spectra calibrated to units of radiance and relative reflectance, along with a metadata table populated for each ChemCam passive spectrum. The data were generated by Jeff Johnson, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and funded by the NASA Planetary Data Archiving, Restoration, and Tools program (PDART).

[MRO Release 56]

Release 56 from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter mission includes new CRISM and SHARAD data. The data are online at https://pds-geosciences.wustl.edu/missions/mro.

[Apollo Seismic Event Catalog Released]

The Apollo Passive Seismic Experiment Expanded Event Catalog Bundle is released at the PDS Geosciences Node.

This bundle contains an integrated catalog of lunar seismic events, including event timing, amplitude, quality, location, and classification of seismic sources, gathered from multiple published works as well as new analyses. These data were compiled by Renee Weber (NASA MSFC) as part of the PDART award “Apollo Passive Seismic Experiment Expanded Event Catalog.”

[Carbonate Refractive Indices Bundle Released]

A new carbonate refractive indices bundle from Ted Roush (NASA Ames) is released. This bundle consists of estimates of the visible to mid-infrared (VMIR, ~0.3-6 micrometer) complex refractive indices of the carbonates calcite, dolomite, and magnesite.

[Magellan Venus Stereo-Derived Topography Map Released]

This bundle contains a map of stereo-derived topography produced from the Magellan FMAPs. The map was generated by Robert R. Herrick, University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and archived by the PDS Geosciences Node.

[MER Contact Science Target List Bundle Released]

This bundle contains a detailed chronology of contact science (CS) activities and targets conducted by both MER rovers. The term contact science encompasses measurements executed by any of the instruments on the rovers’ Instrument Deployment Device (IDD), namely the Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer, Mössbauer, Microscopic Imager, and Rock Abrasion Tool. The data were compiled and archived by the PDS Geosciences Node.
