Does anyone know how to extract the ground track coordinates from the .dat file and save it seperately in e.g. a .txt file?

 

I've opened the file in NASAview and know it's column 76, 77 & 78 that contains the groundtrack. Normally I'd just use Matlab,

but the .dat file is too large for Matlab to handle. I've tried to load & save the columns using e.g. readcol and ddread in IDL but for some reason I do not get the desired output. Does anyone know of another IDL function that can achieve this?
